Eric Laforge PTV 94 kg, flight on 25.07.2020 in dent de Jaman, Montreux (Switzerland)
First thermal flight with the EN-C light paraglider from GIN, the CAMINO.
Ideal takeoff from any point of view next to Jaman’s tooth. Trip in Gruyère to the Vanil Blanc, then towards my car that I had left at Bex. There are friends and a steak waiting for me…
Nice climb to the tower of Aï near Leysin after having just been able to pass a ridge to tilt into the great combe under the Berneuse (Leysin)…
The CAMINO’s sail-building work is magnificent, the implementation simple. The brakes are very precise and light, with a relatively long stroke: it is excellent for not getting tired, for dosing turns well and also to reduce the risk of oversteering!
The collapses and reopenings are soft. I got hit almost half of the wing by being accelerated to 30%: the CAMINO didn’t even change course and quietly reopened!
There is really no reason to stress yourself out in case of collapse with the excellent recent models from the best brands.
Even with EN-C performance paragliders. This is therefore even more valid for beginner EN-A and intermediate EN-B sails!!!
Stay calm in all circumstances!
