Eric Laforge PTV 93 kg, flight on 10.7.2021 to Curnaux (1150 m), Villars-sur-Ollon (Switzerland)
First flight after 3 weeks of break due to a large sprained ankle (garden accident). Yes, it was while tinkering in my vegetable garden that I injured myself!!!
The takeoff is easy. I take off under the inversion: it’s not going to be easy… The friends tell me they have painfully reached the crazy altitude of 1400 m.
The EXPLORER 2 is calm and incisive at the same time. I am well confident and very comfortable. The manoeuvrability is excellent and especially with a rather long brake stroke requiring little force. The brakes are really light and fortunately, because, with the poor conditions of the day, it takes a lot of ‘work’ to painfully climb. I still reach 1500 m, an altitude that allows me to cause some lateral collapses above takeoff. The reactions are calm and gentle. This comforts me in my first impressions.
I make a top landing with a strong desire to take a nap. In fact, I love resting! ![]()
I am delighted to have better conditions to fully test this EXPLORER 2, the new, easy and light paraglider EN-B from GIN.
