ASAGIRI.ch over
With my retirement, the sale of paragliding equipment is abandoned and websites will be closed.
I have transferred my articles here and I will write others!
I also continue to develop interesting improvements!

Advice
By repeating over and over again… I ended up writing articles on important topics:
- the maintenance
- the knowledge of the material
- the flight technique

Rant
Eric, the “whistleblower”!
I wrote an article ‘enraged’ in 2022. It is still relevant!
I am talking about the maintenance of paragliders.
I denounce misunderstandings and negligence!

Tests
By keeping flying… I ended up writing articles about some products that I was able to try in Switzerland or elsewhere.
It is also an opportunity to describe some interesting flight sites in Portugal, France, Spain…

Paragliding since 1985
I did some hang glider flights in 1984. I quickly switched to ‘modern’ paragliding as soon as it was invented by Laurent de Kalbermatten in 1985.
My company ASAGIRI SA that I left at the end of 2025, was founded in 1992. Previously, in 1987, I distributed the Japanese paragliders FALHAWK within JDC ELECTRONIC SA.
I have long experience in design, development and testing and maintenance procedures!

Repair, maintenance and manufacturing
The inspection and repair activity of ASAGIRI SA (my company when I was still working) has been taken over by the 3 experienced employees.
This service activity, indispensable and local, is therefore taken over ‘by them’.

SAFETY BUCKLES | Landing in the water

If you can’t avoid landing in the water…
Life span

How long can we reasonably use our paragliding equipment?
High arms | 800 m of fall

A pilot told me this anecdote when I tested with him the arguments of a new article. I was talking to him about the importance of not constantly keeping the brakes slightly pulled and “letting fly” in a high arm position (without brake at all).Thank you, Thierry, for this striking testimony! COLLAPSE | The right behaviour

All paragliders are subject to collapses! Even the EN-A school models! You have to accept that this is part and parcel of the activity, like skidding when driving a car on a snowy road! When the shear is too great and the pilot’s reaction too late or non-existent, it collapses ! The real question is…
INDUCED COLLAPSES | To avoid overpiloting

Provoke yourself what you agree to undergo ! When flying by a paraglider, we need to be prepared for collapses. We have to prepare ourselves by provoking them to know what is really going on and to avoid the unnecessary or disproportionate reactions that are the main cause of accidents today. Old pilots, forget what…
ACTIVE PILOTING | To avoid collapses

Fly more efficiently! An ACTIVE pilot serves to make better use of thermals, to fly more efficiently and more comfortably. to avoid collpases, but not all! With a modern paraglider, it is useless and dangerous to fly while slightly (less than 10%) applying the brakes “to feel the canopy”! See the video >> HERE Bruce…

A few videos
Some memorable flights!
Excellent moments spent with friends and also sometimes alone.
It is good from time to time to confront the immensity, forces and beauty of nature.
One feels truly free, almost without any constraint. We face ourselves to make decisions and also to overcome our fears…
