Brake stop extension

The risers of different sizes of a paraglider are identical.

Which makes the start of the brake race really “high arms” for a 155 cm pilot, whereas it is very low, at chest height, for a 190 cm pilot.

The temptation is strong, especially for tall riders, to shorten the brakes, but it is absolutely necessary to keep a ‘guard’, a ‘play’, that is to say a no-load race of a few cm.

It is dangerous to fly with too short brakes, as this affects the pitch and increases the risk of canopy diving…

I propose the use of a pair of “brake stop extensions” in Dyneema halyard with low friction ring to replace the original belt/pulley assemblies or low friction ring. The “stop” will be raised and it will then be possible to safely shorten the brakes by 10 to 15 cm depending on the paraglider model!
